Examining ecotourism intention: The role of tourists' traits and environmental concerns.Farrukh Rafiq, Mohd Adil & Jei-Zheng Wu - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
The study offers new insights by examining the influence of personality traits on tourists' intentions to visit ecotourism sites using the lens of the theory of planned behavior. It also investigates whether environmental knowledge moderates the effect of extraversion, neuroticism, and environmental concern on tourists' ecotourism intentions. We applied structural equation modeling on 350 responses collected through the Amazon M-Turk platform. Results highlight that extroverts are more likely to express ecotourism intentions than neurotic tourists. However, it was also noted that (...)

Peculiarities of Education in the East and the West.Salahaddin Khalilov - 2006 - The Proceedings of the Twenty-First World Congress of Philosophy 4:73-77.
There are essential differences between the Eastern and Western models of education. The Eastern model of education aims at the perfecting of an individual to reach his moral purity. Therefore it applies teaching and teacher-student relations on the individual scale, and primarily prefers didactics. The Western model of education considers an individual as a product of the social environment. Therefore it aims at the perfection of the environment itself, of the society, and so it concentrates its attention on socio-economic reforms (...)

Symmetry, inertness and chirality in theory of chiral systems.Leonard M. Khalilov - 2015 - Foundations of Chemistry 17 (2):129-135.
The measure of the chiral system inertia has been suggested as a reciprocal value of degree of chirality. Three main laws of conservation, evolution, and interaction of chiral systems in the inertial space are formulated. Some of the consequences concerning the interaction of the chiral elements could be used to estimate the degree of chirality of complex chiral systems.

Paradigmal Rethinking of World Development towards Global Civilization.Rahid Khalilov - 2008 - Proceedings of the Xxii World Congress of Philosophy 50:321-330.
The paper states that the world as a self-ruling system needs creation of its new concept based on philosophy of harmony. Harmonic foundation-building of the world system, safeguarding the turning strategy of the world from non-balanced into balanced development, formation of world order on the basis of convergent idea on world unity of nationstates, the leading way of integral globalization contrary to unipolar globalization are the principal conditions of the world’s progress. The necessity on creation of harmony in the world (...)

The Specificity of Human Body.Salahaddin Khalilov - 2008 - Proceedings of the Xxii World Congress of Philosophy 42:91-96.
A human being is the carrier of two different ideas, and there is no direct relation between them. One of these ideas refers to the body. The body itself is a system genetically coded and programmed in advance. On the other hand, one part of the body – the brain – appears to be the carrier of another idea that reflects the whole Universe – the Cosmos. Due to the function human (concretely, brain) is Microcosm, regarded as epitomizing the universe. (...)

  10. The Outcomes of Organizational Cronyism: A Social Exchange Theory Perspective.Shahab Ali, Farrukh Shahzad, Iftikhar Hussain, Pu Yongjian, Muhammad Mahroof Khan & Zafar Iqbal - 2022 - Frontiers in Psychology 13.
The current research examines the possible outcomes of cronyism like organizational deviance, organizational cynicism, and counterproductive work behavior and also investigates the mediating variable violation of psychological contract among cronyism and its possible outcomes. Many studies have investigated the presence of organizational cronyism at the workplace and its impacts on certain variables. However, the outcomes observed in this study, i.e., OD, OCy, and counter-productive work behavior were not empirically investigated previously as per researchers’ knowledge. The second gap this study fills (...)

Designing of a Simulation Tool for the Performance Analysis of Hybrid Data Center Networks.Muhib Ahmad, Farrukh Zeeshan Khan, Zeshan Iqbal, Muneer Ahmad, Ihsan Ali, Sultan S. Alshamrani, Muhammad Talha & Muhammad Ahsan Raza - 2021 - Complexity 2021:1-13.
Data center technology changes the mode of computing. Traditional DCs consist of a single layer and only have Ethernet connections among switches. Those old-fashioned DCs cannot fulfill the high resource demand compared with today’s DCs. The architectural design of the DCs is getting substantial importance and acting as the backbone of the network because of its essential feature of supporting and maintaining the rapidly increasing Internet-based applications which include search engines and social networking applications. Every application has its parameters, like (...)

CoCEC: An Automatic Combinational Circuit Equivalence Checker Based on the Interactive Theorem Prover.Wilayat Khan, Farrukh Aslam Khan, Abdelouahid Derhab & Adi Alhudhaif - 2021 - Complexity 2021:1-12.
Checking the equivalence of two Boolean functions, or combinational circuits modeled as Boolean functions, is often desired when reliable and correct hardware components are required. The most common approaches to equivalence checking are based on simulation and model checking, which are constrained due to the popular memory and state explosion problems. Furthermore, such tools are often not user-friendly, thereby making it tedious to check the equivalence of large formulas or circuits. An alternative is to use mathematical tools, called interactive theorem (...)

Paranoia and job satisfaction.Farhan Kamrani, Nabila Kamrani & Farrukh Kamrani - 2020 - Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities 59 (1):75-85.
The present study investigated the relationship between paranoia and job satisfaction. Paranoia is defined as suspiciousness and the feeling of being threatened even if there is no proof of real threat. Paranoia is a concept that is often ignored in researches in Pakistan and rarely explored in context of any concept related to occupational life. After a detailed literature review, it was hypothesized that paranoia would be negatively correlated to job satisfaction. The sample of the present research consisted of 154 (...)

The First Jurist Who Introduced the Ḥanafī Sect in Andalusia: ʿAbdallāh b. Farrūkh and His Students.Abdullah Acar - 2019 - Cumhuriyet İlahiyat Dergisi 23 (2):585-607.
Among the Muslims the most common sect is Ḥanafī. It is mentioned in the Ḥanafī sect that there are a line of students who transfer the principles of the sect from generation to generation. In order for the Islamic conquests that started simultaneously in the Eastern and Western lands to be permanent, people were sent to teach Islamic morality, worship and fiqh that encompass daily life. From the 2nd century (A.H.) the sectarianization process that started in the centers such as (...)

Islamic philosophy and occidental phenomenology on the perennial Issue of microcosm and macrocosm.Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka (ed.) - 2006 - Dordrecht: Springer.
By proposing the Microcosm and Macrocosm analogy for dialogue between Islamic Philosophy and Occidental Phenomenology, the authors of this volume are reviving the perennial positioning of the human condition in the play of forces within and without the human being. This theme has run from Plato through the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Modernity, and has been ignored by contemporaries. It now acquires a new pertinence and striking significance due to the scientific discoveries into the "infinitely small" in life, on the (...)
